DAK High Canvas Boots

Post by Yuri »

Ive bought lately few items to improve a little, my Italian impression which will be often-used next year. One of the items that pleased me most was leather-canvas high boots used in tropical theater of operations. Pair that Ive bought was used in filming Africa-based scenes in newest film with Tom Cruise - Valkyrie.

What I want to know is Your opinion about them. So take a look:

Whats Yours opinion about them lads ??

Thanks in advance for any comments.

Hero Collection - polish firm which makes uniforms, gear and insignia for most of historical films today. Im waiting for large package containg boots and other stuff Ive bought from that company. Its very hard to buy stuff in small quantities from them - but I may consider myself a lucky-one in that case

Ive seen very positive comment from "nelz" on Axis History Forum about those boots, so Ive wanted to confirm it here.

Yes - Ive bought it all and sell few items which wasnt good enough in mu opinion, to improve my Italian impression a bit.
Now I can say that im quite happy about that part of my humble collection.

Myself and several members of the local reenacting group here in the Southern California took part in the North Afrika scene. We were all VERY impressed with the uniforming and especially the boots that were procured for the movie. Everybody I spoke to felt the boots were very well made and over the course of 3-5 days of filming (some of us only stayed for 3 days), had no complaints about blistering or sore feet. We are all envious of these boots and really wanted a pair since we do an annual desert battle.

I was shooting the 20mm flak in the scene so I was sitting on the gun most of the time. Not alot of walking for me but I really liked the boots and they were very comfortable otherwise. I liked them better then my SM Wholesale lowboots to be honest. If there is anyway to get a set of these I'd be most interested.

Says they are made here in the US. Must be SM Wholesale. Not bad boots and probably your only real choice behind Zeugmeisterei.

Ive just called my friend in Hero Collection few minutes ago - If You need few pairs of those high boots or low boots( those in two types, early and late) there should be no problem. Ill buy them in Poland and send You to States if You want.
