I`d like to ask about this kind of items:

Were they really used during war or is it a fantasy item ?

There were a variety of private purchase items for keeping the soldbuch and other documents safe. These ranged from simple card covers, such as those you've asked about, to leather wallet type items.

Personally, I don't think you tend to see original examples that much as they were not that common amongst the average soldier.

Here is one I got for a 1 Euro at a Market at the Freiburg Flowmarkt...
I got it simply because I havent seen an Original Before, only SS Fuehrerschein covers.....
Its in Poor condition .... :? And its for a Wherpaß.. :?

I managed to buy this one recently:

Its RDHdw (Reichsstand des Deutschen Handwerks), organization established in 1933, so I think its possible to use it as a replacement for WWII Jager. And it has this sweet LW-blue color :D
