List,
Attached is a LW Solbuch that I filled out for a friend of mine. When I took the pics, I was in the middle of filling it out. I use a mixture of Sütterlin and latin script. I also use different pens, inks, ink pads for the buch. Additionally, I change up the angle of my hand to show different writing styles as well.
Let me know what you think!

very nice ones!
Re: Soldbuch and Sütterlin
Did you know that Sütterlin was officially banned in 1941, although many brought using it continued. I prefer the older SS soldbuch you did, much more variety
Re: Soldbuch and Sütterlin
We learnt it at school, it was Schoenschreiben. I think it was taught to a lot of people after 41, even though it was "banned" officially. Does anyone know why it was banned?

Wikapedia says
When the Nazis conquered much of Europe, they found that commands in the local language could not be understood when written in Sütterlin, so, in 1941, like all blackletter typefaces, it was officially banned from use. However, many German speakers brought up with this writing system continued to use it well into the post-war period.
Sütterlin was taught in some German schools until the 1970s, but no longer as the primary script.

Bmac,
I continue to bow to your greatness in this regard!! Your books always look so DAMNED good! I am attempting to 'sponge' tips and techniques out of them every time I see one of them! Suetterlin I can do. Latin I can do. Its the nice mix that you've mastered, and which I continue to attempt to master.
One day, I'll be a Soldbuch Jedi like you....
