hand, one book i can recall mentioning the incident was "SS-Peiper" by Charles Whitting among others??
Diefenthal was reputedly wearing an Ami tankers jacket but the articles i read didn't specify, maybe US Tank overalls
which look like that in this pic??, but was identified as such by US survivors of the massacre at the War Crime trials at
Dachau
