the last one in the bog ....just by coincidence i have worked this past three weeks with a latvian guy who is close friends to one of the guys who dug it out.
he has my email addy and is going to contact me soon i will let you all know when he does ,,,if he does :wink:

I had heard a rumor about some German equipment dug into an eastern european country's countryside, but never seen any pics. Rumor goes that someone dug one up then tried to get it out of the country, until the border police stopped it.

Now I have seen the pics, I believe it! Thanks Grink! 8)

I have seen, in a private collection, even more photos of the Bulgarian Panzers....... And I may even know where a couple have ended up. :wink: And not where you would usually think......

It looks to me like a stug from behind, the MG cover plate is just facing the rear. And If I guess correctly, these are the ones that finnish army sold in auction few years ago.

Edit: my mistake, I watched the wrong photo.

Its a T28 one of only 5 left in the world (at the moment)

T28 was a silly tank, finns learned quickly that throwing a regular german hand grenade in front of the main turrret killed the driver and the two side gunners. How silly. And even regular rifles could shoot trough it's armor.
