The cynic in me always tries to clock the publisher before the reviews when books like this appear on forums - and they are indeed almost always self-publishing services. Never bodes well when the book's got to the marketplace as a result of cash rather than on merit.

Just read 'Seelowe Nord the Germans are coming' and I thought it was a really good book for a new author, self publisher or otherwise.

It's just a novel after all, a made up story based on real events, just like schindlers list.
