I'm currently reading a book called Fighter General Thw Life Of Adolf Galland by Colonel Raymond E. Taylor and Trevor J.Constable. An excellent book. Galland goes into detail about the ineptness and stupidity of Goering and the rest of the Luftwaffe general staff. At one point Galland talks to Goering about the reconnacence photos of all the US aircraft and Goering dismisses him saying they're not real but dummy aircraft they don't have that many aircraft
