Der Adler - A blast from the past!
Found a pic from Skirmish magazine many years ago of our old group Der Adler at Tilbury fort.

Thanks Halle!Halle wrote:You lot certainly looked the part ! ....what happened to the group ?
I and some of the others left the group in 2003 and formed Das Heer. Der Adler carried on for a short while but fizzled out soon after.
We had some great times in Der Adler. We had a Kubel and BMW combination plus we sometimes had a big German Shepherd! I remember one year at Tilbury we put our Krad rubber coats on and drove a few miles up the road armed to the teeth. On the way back we set up an impromptu (and highly illegal!) roadblock near to the venue!
We used to be very popular at the Kent and East Sussex Light Railway event. We had our own station and used to take possible subversives before Herr Major for questioning. We also used to do spot checks on IDs and baggage on the trains. A couple of our partners used to carry weapons etc in their bags and we'd drag them of the train. All this was done in German with some French. It used to go down a storm with the public.

I haven't seen Otto for years. Phil stopped did a few impressions with bikes over the years but doesn't do anything now. He lives near to me and we still keep in touch.

Amazed to hear John Plowman is still going! I'm sure I'll see you although am only going to do minor events so you're more likely to see me as a MOP.
