We are simply a group of military historians who wanted to take their hobby to the next level. We wear quality reproduction uniforms and use either original or reproduction firearms, equipment and vehicles. The events we attend usually serve one of three purposes: 1. To educate the public (we are members of the Living History Corps at the New Orleans D-Day Museum). 2. We reenact tactical battles and try to immerse ourselves in a WWII experience 3. We are often involved in film projects whether paid or volunteer.
Our Mission Statement
Schnelle Truppen was created to accurately reenact the experience of the WWII German soldier, with an emphasis on the 1941-42 time period. This includes but is not limited to: tactics, mannerisms, uniforms, weaponry and vehicles. We seek uniformity in our impressions and avoid excuses to justify individual impression diversity. We believe that the quality of one's impression and unit cohesiveness will impact the hobby far more than any rank, no matter how significant, will ever do. Ultimately, this is about having a unique path that leads to an exceptional form of entertainment and education.
We are located in the LA and MS areas and can be found on Facebook under Schnelle Truppen.
