Smoking kids weren't a completely new phenomenom above all on the eastern front; there are a lot of pictures of little children who are smoking cigarettes... I guess the country life in Soviet Russia during the 30's and 40's wasn't a nice one.

I was always under the impression that that picture was credited to 12th SS Panzerdivision ,Hitlerjugend'. Very cool image.

This picture is taken on September 6th 1944 in Ghlin (Belgium). According to the notes of war correspondent Lovell who took the picture, they must be members of 10th SS Panzerdivision Frundsberg.
