Post by Grabenkater »

Where can I obtain a proper reproduction Truppenausweis? I have tried Pockettrash, and he is currently not accepting paypal.

Thanks!

I can do a truppenausweis once I have the correct card or linen paper.

Hi all,

what role does the Truppenausweis fill? I see the photo is of a Luftwaffe Soldat and I know flight crews/paratroops used a Tarnausweis, is this id for non-flight folks?

Thanks, Jeff

Jeff,

From what I understand the Truppenausweis was used as a ID in leu of the Soldbuch.

The truppenausweis was issued prior to the soldbuch being the standard document across the Wehrmacht. An order of September 41 meant all these documents were withdrawn and no longer used, however I have seen them dated 43 and early 44.

Version2 and versions 2+3 together, please note these are all printed on the same card, variations in sunlight, flash etc has caused colour variation.

Other colour variations are also available as per originals, this includes green and brown. I will be posting pics of a completed truppenausweis shortly along with price.

Thanks,
