Just for fun.
Some really nice French SS-men from Poland. Especially I liked that pic with the flag.

"Boj o Kolobrzeg" 2010:

Also you can find some nice pics from that Kolberg event (previous year) here:

Too bad Polish didn't make it that year, 2012. Hope they'll do it next time!

Pan Jozek is correct, the French SS only wore Pea dot camouflage in the period after the return from Pomerania. Even then, they didn't have enough to go round and had to give priority to certain units over others within the division. Some guys had full suits but most didn't have any.

I like the quality of the Polish event photos and effort put in by the 'French' guys, however, their impression is all over the place. Arm shields on wrong arms, oakleaf camo trousers, etc. They should get together and coordinate their impression to turn up as a unit, with a clear sense of identity. ie a single squad of guys with (mostly) matching insignia. For instance, an infatry squad made up of ex Sturmbrigade men, with som pea dot camo, field caps, and arm shields on their upper left arms. It always annoys me about reenactors that they all do whatever they want without coordination!!!

You should pay more attention to what you wear portraying Charlemagne. Those sturm dots are awful and hurts my eyes. Another thing is camouflage. 33rd was rather poorly equipped and as far as we know they were not equipped with too much camouflage.

More issues:

- some incorrect boots
- DDR gaiters

Guys,

Good effort but you've made some fairly major errors in your impressions. Discard the jackboots and replace them for hobnailed ankle boots. Discard the camo helmet covers, Charlemagne did not ever wear them. They were discontinued in 1943. Overhead camouflage smocks are also a no-no. Your guys are carry early war stick grenades. By 1945 the M43 stick grenade and the egg grenade had taken over. The peaked M43 hats issued to the Charlemagne were the very late war, single button type with the trapezoidal insignia on the front. Also, bring in some items of AfrikaKorps webbing, such as Y straps and bayonet frogs. These were being issued as substitute standard by 44-45.

Otherwise a great overall impression, you just need to work on the accuracy of your clothing and equipment.
