Just heard about this saddened he was a great reenactor collector and all round gentleman

Re: JOHN JURY
John Jury (JJ) passed away early Saturday morning March 4. John would have been 63 years old next week and we only found out last week that he had been in hospital since Feb. 15th with a stomach complaint. He had a small operation and the hospital was building him up for another operation when he was strong enough.
John was a kind and generous man with a wickedly dry sense of humour, it was always a pleasure to sit with him for a chat and his knowledge on many subjects was unbelievable but of course when it came to Third Reich Militaria, especially edged weapons and medals. John was almost a legend with many specialists contacting John for help and advice. Amongst the brotherhood of the SBG and across the world of re-enactment he will be very sadly missed
Rest in peace JJ
with much love and many happy memories

I had the pleasure of meeting John for the first time in 1989 and ever since we were friends . He was one of the nicest gentlemen I had the pleasure of knowing , he will be sadly missed by all who knew him . The world and hobby will be a lesser place without him , rest in peace Kamerad.
