Work party - What's the SP mate? Do we need a tent? Is it civvy (hope so) and is it two days?

Also what's needed? My primary is to get a plan of the area drawn up - placements, times and firing orders. Digging's not gonna be a large concern - I'm gonna make the stuff portable - Also will need to get consumables sorted as I'm in me regular motor and space is at a premium on the live gig. Do you have any D10 cos ours got used mainly at Victory...... (could NOT believe how much it took!)

Will probs give you a call this weekend if you're about.
I have lots of Don10, so no bother chief.
The working weekend might very well turn into just a Saturday.
We have trenches to formalise, some big tents to put up and the pyro to sort out.
I'm bringing my small pop tent anyway (just in case), plus a night at Levisham is pretty nice anyway!

Give me a ring chief
Cheers
Neil

Set Dressing

If any of the faithful coming have a jerry can or two to add to the fueling display I would be very grateful.

Ammunition boxes, grenade boxes would be useful (one can never have too many at a show)

Dont worry about Laff's or AA mounts. We have one of each and that should do.

Between Les of the Gebirgs and Das Reich, we should have all the radios, telephones and office equipment we need (although a couple of extra field phones if working wont go amiss)

If you could PM me with any of the above, I would be most grateful

Cheers

To all atending persons:

Directions from Pickering
1.Take the A169 towards Whitby.
2.Just after the Fox and Rabbit pub (on your right) there is a turning to Lockton and Levisham on your left.
3.Drive through Lockton and stay on the main road and follow the sign for Levisham.
4.Levisham Station is located 1 mile from the village of Levisham. When entering Levisham, drive through the village and take the left-hand road past the Horse Shoe Inn ( the postcode for this pub is YO18 7NL. Follow this road for about a mile, and you will find Levisham Station

Park in the station carpark, then look for myself or for the station master, Simon.

And more spades as there is still work to be done. Nice to see you all - I did a 160 mile round trip, spent £30 on fuel and had to contend with a farty Staffy on the way home (plus the overturned lorry on the A46 which delayed me loads) but enjoyed the company and the little bit I contributed to the prep work. Shame more folks couldn't have turned up and prepped what is going to be a stupendous weekend in fantastic company.

Levisham valley is one of he nicest, most tranquil places in the UK. I'm proud to be able to partake of that tranquility - and blow the hell out of it next weekend! MWUHA HA HA HA!

A couple of small points of interest to booked in re-enactors only:

To get free tea or coffee all day during the event, just take a cup or tin mug up to either of the tea huts and the loverly ladies will be happy to serve you. No cup then you will have to pay. No using the lid off your mess tin either as its a bit dangerous for them to handle this over a crowded counter.

In support of the NYMR bridges charity there will be braces of French partridges for sale, £4.00 per brace  (Ive already got my order in!)

The first defaulter reported by thier Gruppenfuhrer will be doing me the honour of cleaning and plucking them :D

The long range forceast is looking good, all my equipment is cleaned, pressed and ready.
For the first time in many events, I'm quite relaxed about it all.
Happy Days!

See you all on the platform Friday

Neil
