Bringing this to the top as its getting close, have booked my dad in on a vets pass. He,s 91 late of the Royal Berkshire Regiment was with the BEF in France and got away from Dunkirk. He can pull up a sandbag and swing a lamp with the best of them, he is really looking forward to this.
Sadly he lost his lady a week ago but he,s still keeping the chin up (hardy old lad).

Cheers
Dave

When I was a kid I used to see them fly over sometimes and they always made the hairs on my arms and neck stand up!! So majestic and yet so... menacing... at the same time... beats even the Lanc for a flypast I reckon...?

I'm looking forward to that more than anything. As a kid, my grandfather used to take myself and my brother for a drive in his Jaguar MKII on a sunday. We'd go out to RAF Waddington and watch the Vulcans taking off and landing. Fantastic memories :)

If all goes according to plan then this may be the most memorable Vulcan display ever! We will do our best to see to that.

I'm saying no more at this stage.

And can I take the opportunity to remind you (as I do every year) that the "Battle" is a tightly controlled affair - We can not possibly fit everyone in -for that I apologise - and those who are in have been notified. There is a lot going down - There is an added complication of the Vulcan effects as well as a 25 pounder battery firing, vehicle movements and a whole lot more - So please - don't be offended - We would fit you in if we could and it was safe..... We can't and it isn't so Enjoy the spectacle.

Cheers

Looking forward to this one and equally looking forward to seeing and having a natter with a few folks that i've not seen for a while.

The Vulcan flew over us at Kelmarsh a few weeks back and I have to say looked amazing.

Gonna be a good one :D

Can vehicle owners from the following groups please contact me ASAP.
Das Reich
Der Windhund
Der Fuhrer
KP1 (inc FJR3)
FJR6
FJ39-45
Les Hearn (more or less sorted)
GD (Fusilier, Recon, Pz Gr)
Pz Lehr

I think that's it.

I know John Phillips is fixing to come with stuff - If Kev Slade and/or Floppy Simon is bringing 222 then please contact me. 16SS? I think you're coming but do you have ETO kit?

Short end is - Battle Scenario calls for a convoy of German kit - I have to get it organised and we dont' have long left.

Paul, i have e-mailed Kev for you.
As far as i am aware our 222 and at least one combo (possibly two) depends on if Steve can get his running in time, will be in attendance but of course Kev will confirm for certain mate.

Cheers now
