Servus Jägers,

For reenacting purposes, the Swiss Army surplus snow goggles, currently on the market and cheap, are very similar to the first pair of original goggles above. Just need to replace the Swiss cotton tie straps with elastic straps with a hook-loop clasp and an adjustable slider.

Patrick,

Notice the cuffs on this windbluse? They seem to be a button style cuff. Was this is modification, or a private purchase option?

Servus Jäger Paul und Bergkameraden,

Franz is correct...my scan doesn't show the detail too well...but it's a standard cuff with the spring-roller buckle normally found on Windbluse.

I do have an original light-weight, non-reversible, white Windbluse that's made from either silk or rayon that has a button wrist strap closure.

Would that be private purchase or an early type good sir ?

Grüß Di' Jäger Franz,

I believe it's a special issue item for snipers. It was never issued and still has the paper size tag on it. It has the standard 3 pockets across the chest and the two hip pockets. The early Windbluse only had 2 pockets across the chest. I will start a new topic on Windbluse.
