Re: 1939 Iron Cross 1st Class
Trouble is these 3piece fakes are not sold as copys, either knowingly or unknowingly.Militaria net sell a 'superior copy' for £24.99 +pp.Its still a one piece strike and the pin is marked 51 (not found on real EKI)and I believe are made in Poland. You could try the 'Bazaar' section on Wehrmacht awards forum as sometimes good reproductions are sold on there.John
PS There is a copy 3 piece EKI from the 'Reich store' on ioffer Uk for £177.53,you can buy originals for less.

"Schinkel" types are early types where firms tried to use up left over stocks of Imperial frames and not approved by the state.Real ones are very expensive now and rare. From a collectors point of view the copy seems expensive, when you can get original EKI from about £150-£200 depending on the maker/condition.John

Re: 1939 Iron Cross 1st Class
There was a UK shop I once stumbled upon that had some nice looking repro medals including a 3 piece EK1 Kl. .....now for the life of me, I can't find it...! Mainly had original militaria though.
1944shop has some nice repros though.
