Fallschirmjaeger boots

Post by wittmann »

Hi all,
is there any historical evidence that shows Fallschirmjaeger wearing jackboots [ rather than Para boots ], with their trousers bloused over the lower boots leg, minus gaiters.

Thanks in advance.

I've seen plenty of shots, but my computer took a dump so I am without my images I have accumulated. Here's one of a a FJ MG team with jacks, and also a LWfD shot with Jacks.

Remember, jackboots were the standard issue luftwaffe service boot. Jumpboots were only task-specific equipment. If there was a lack of jumpboots, they'd still have their regular boots.
