Pitons

Post by Halle »

I'm struggling to find any period/ repro pitons so I'm thinking of asking a local blacksmith to make some but don't know where to look for exact sizes / shapes . Any ideas ?

Phil is a great dude, caters to Gjr. reenactors, and probably the only one in the game who makes these.

Recommended :) !

Thanks Guys, I've seen Phil's site and you're right , caters for GJR better than most . Trouble I've had is I can't find any way of finding out dimensions , or differentiating between the different types displayed . Even though he's in the USA ( as are you guys I think ) it's still a cheap option I'd consider . Any ideas or recommendations ?
