Hi Gary ,
Wehrmacht at the moment though I'm interested in all aspects of German WW2 military - currently putting together a Gebirgsjaeger impression , will be looking to extend it to SS , Prinz Eugen or Nord .

A small word of advice - But lots of good books - Read them - Learn. Research - understand your history and appreciate your subject.
Do not get involved in pettiness.
Buy once and buy right.
Start with all the standard items and only when you have what the Landser was issued as basic, standard kit - begin to expand your collection.
Buy a K98 - The Soldier's Bride. It can be used from 1938 to 1945.
If thinking about joining a group - join a group that suits you. Choose carefully.
Do not believe all you read on the internet.
That is all.

Thank you Franz , I appreciate the offer and feel sure I'll take you up on it at some point ! It's been fascinating reading the history of this Division , and the others that fought with it in Finland and elsewhere - a part of the war I was ignorant of until recently and has proved to me I have still hardly scratched the surface of this fascinating conflict .

Thanks Franz , looked at these guys a lot , they look thoroughly professional ! A bit exclusive though ? Join by invitation only ? I've no problem with that , and they set a good bench mark I think . Anyway , it will give me something to aim for .
