Re: Siemens projector
Anything to say Siemens on it. It looks very much like my pre-war Bolex G.
I will have a look at my info tonight.

Re: Siemens projector
there´s a Siemes logo - http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/81 ... 12098.jpg/ (but due to flash when I was taking the foto, you can´t see it). The box has Siemens label as well. So it´s Siemes anyway. Thanks in advance for your help. I was looking for the type but haven´t find anything same.
Re: Siemens projector
Have a look here to see if yours is there:

Now you need to get busy on google.

Re: Siemens projector
The thing is that I haven´t seen the same one - with same casing and some other details. Due to the casing with interesting colour, I was thinking of that it may be type used by Wehrmacht. But I haven´t seen any proof..
Anyway, thanks for your help.

Re: Siemens projector
Casing looks pretty standard black to me. Same crinkle black finish as on my bolex cine projector from the same era. All the controls are pretty standard too. I have all the ones you show on the aforementioned bolex.
I have a genuine Wehrmacht still photo projector and that has a great big plate riveted to it and the transformer that says 'Heeres Eigentum'.
I think you will be disappointed if you think this is something German army related. However you could have a nice pre-war projector if you clean it up.

Re: Siemens projector
ok, thanks.
One more question - do you have any photos of german ww2 feld cinema? I´m also thinking who was taking service of it? Propagandakompanie (or those were only for taking photos and videos) or "classical" soldiers from Stab.

Re: Siemens projector
Film or cine camera?
Most pictures show Leica or contax film cameras in use.
The issue cine cameras were Arriflex, Siemens and Askania. There is a picture of the Siemens cine camera on the link I sent you (Kreigscamera).
Sepp Allenberger talks about escaping at the end of the war with the divisions 'war artist'. I don't know if this was an official position in all divisions or just in the elite ones. I have a full camera outfit taken from a Wehrmacht soldier. He is not listed in any of the lists of official Propagandakompanie photographers but the kit suggests he was an official photographer of some sort and the equipment was confiscated by the Americans as being military equipment.
