Re: Dig Deep For The British Legion
understand franz
this is a bit different we aim to raise at least £20.000 for the charity
this is also to push the reenacting scene out into the public arena ..just to show we have the time and ability to change lives
we need bums on seats
please please buy tickets ..if ya cannot buy em please donate
or if you cannot make it to the show please buy a ticket leave it in the hat and it will be donated to a disabled person who could not normaly afford to go to a show like this
therefore the ticket you purchase will not go to waste
killing two birds with one stone.
we fill seats and also get a donation
i think dave lou and neil have worked bloody hard to put this show on
they have had to go to warner brothers for permision to use the wrights to the film
i think we owe it to them to help out in some way
please please donate or purchase a ticket
or simply come allong and bring the family for what will be the worlds first charity footy match with a diference

I'm afraid that, like Joel, I'm all donated out at the minute, but I would say that trying to shame people into donating with some of the comments about lack of support I've seen posted will probably not do the cause any favours. Sorry.Franz repper wrote:Sorry john I give to to Regimental ones and PoppysJDR wrote:Not one donation so far from anyone of this forum

Re: Dig Deep For The British Legion
Can i set the record straight i have nothing to do with this donation website nor the E2 event apart from being ask to take part as a player. All im trying to do like other is to give the event and the charity in question a heads up and max exposure

Has the Chinese whisper machine started already Jon? NO surprises there me old mucka - All good intentions in this game tend to be misinterpreted....... But carry on - keep up the good work.
On looking on E2V2's website though the confusion could arise from WARS being displayed as a major sponsor of the event
http://www.escape2victory2.co.uk/#/tickets/4549539514
To my mind though - What if you are involved? You have a right to be and should promote the event as much as possible wherever possible (I also take in Bryn's earlier comment and can see what he means whilst also sharing your sense of frustration at the apathy - I have been victim to those kind of feelings myself and they, in the past resulted in some pretty strong, insensitive postings - Which I no longer do.......)
Wasn't it Kevin Costner who said "Build it and They Will Come"..?

Re: Dig Deep For The British Legion
For the record, I asked for the logo to be removed (included in a very long list of updates pending)
To my way of thinking, were all in this together.
No headliners, just a bunch of mates together doing something for a good cause, with all help appreciated
