Stettin 1945
Pictures from my Swedish reenactment group FHF from an event last weekend. The event was meant to be based around division Nordlands fighting in Pomeria. Pictures on the russian side will follow. Enjoy!

Re: Stettin 1945
Very good photos from my home town (Stettin/Szczecin) but just as a point of interest - name Altdamm or to be more precise Bruckenkopf Altdamm would fit better than Stettin. Mind you that main fights took place on the right bank outskirts of Stettin - in a district known as Altdamm (therefore the whole battle is generaly called Battle for Bruckenkopf Altdamm - Altdamm Bridgehead), only there Nordland saw action in Stettin Area. But that's only a historical note Great effort on your side. It's nice to see people interested in the battle which is very often forgotten by historical book writers.
Re: Stettin 1945
Thank you for your remark! We were supposed to base this event around the training exercises (but we ended up fighting russians anyway) commited troughout february, but maybe that was in Altdamm as well?lentz wrote:Very good photos from my home town (Stettin/Szczecin) but just as a point of interest - name Altdamm or to be more precise Bruckenkopf Altdamm would fit better than Stettin. Yes we are very much intressted in those kind of battles and since we are swedish and danish reenactors, Nordland fits us like a glove. Its our history!
