These photos are made during the public event 'De slag om de achterhoek' in the town of Hengelo, starring the Dutch and German Windhund together with some other groups from the Netherlands (HRVN and DRG40-45 to name some). This event was organised by: http://www.achterhoeksmuseum1940-1945.nl

The theme was operation Market Garden 1944, this year 65 years ago.
It shows a german column from the Aufklärung Abteilung (German recon) watching the Allied paratroopers being dropped nearby a Dutch village.
The Germans move towards the enemy and while they move inside the village, the much feared enemy JaBo's (allied fighter aircraft) attack the collumn and they move inside the church for cover.
After this attack, the Germans have to attack the American paratroopers, but fail to win this battle and are being taken prisoner.
