Kampfegruppe GD Training weekend April 2008

Below are some pictures taken at the GD Kampfegruppen training weekend hosted by our sister unit Panzer Fusiliers GD. The weekend involved foot and arms drill, weapon familiarisation and finally gruppe (squad) tactics and exercises, based on translated late war manuals. The pictures below were taken during the gruppe tactics exercises.

Thanks all for the comments, much appreciated and very kind. Those of us within Panzer Füsilier Regiment, Großdeutschland work hard to create our impression and try to adhere to as rounded an authentic portrayal of the German soldat as we possibly can.

We are very keen to be seen by a wider audience now, as we held our light under a bushel for the last nine years. It is now time for this unit to be recognised in its own right and we hope that we continue to provide quality to those events we attend.
