So what your saying you either have K-98 pouches or bandoliers but not both?

Are they all your own groups photos? Not all of the ones on your website are. Flattered though I am that you have a picture of me and some of our lads on your home page, before using pictures that are from another group, maybe you should ask first as a courtesy.

I beg to differ. My opinion is based on two points:

1. Late war period photographs
2. My own personal experience (as a real paratrooper, albeit that was 30 years ago!). You carry as much ammunition as you can - and then some!

To my knowledge Tobruk wasn't late war lol :).could you share the photos with us? . Carrying as much ammo as you can and having 2 different types of carrying method are different.

experiance from differant armies in differant period is completely irelavent.

German ww2 infantry dont carry that much ammo - they aint supposed to - If they are piled up with anything - it will be MG ammo. And this dudes an MP anyway.

Ahhh... That'll teach me to look at the picture before passing comment in future! However, I maintain my 'real world' position

Yeah think I should of taken the bandolier before putting that police necklace
They guys pulled it out off the bag and handed it to me and I had no idea what it was until they told.

Next time I will have a new mp-40 and pouches anyhow.
