My Favorite Photo
Looking back over "Der Windhunds" web site came upon this photo again. Probably my favorite re-enactment photo. The pic is natural without looking staged. The subject is of an age most of us can only look back on with fond memories. He has the correct looking build for the majority of those in the 40's. His uniform is a nice mix of field grey and is dirty enough without looking over the top. His kit looks great. Always a pleasure to see what our friends over there do but this captures perfectly the direction they have taken the hobby. Love it.

It might sound silly but the dirt looks just right. Too many times you see photos where the guys (myself included ) look more like they are going on a commando raid or are "blacking up" This photo the dirt is there but it looks natural, probably is.

Re: My Favorite Photo
Thanks guys, But to be honest there are more impressions from all over Europe that a good example of how it should be done. A lot of the good groups are "looked past" because they don't choose to be overly active with their Propaganda. This doesn't mean their impressions are any less.
If I had to pick any pictures/persons in a way the topic starter meant this I'd show these ( and many more ) for instance:
Again, thanks! But there is so much more then the public forums if you look a bit further, and all of the above seem to meet the label "Living History", in stead of plain "re-enactment".

My favourite that I've taken. The COs of GD Aufklarungs and Fusillers meet up for a planning brief.
Re: My Favorite Photo
An old thread, I know... but the first pic is fantastic, like the other ones posted in this thread. Bravo.
