Simple question but how do the KM tie theirs off?

Hi Stig,they are not tied like the RN,the tally is threaded through cord loops on the outside of the capband and folded and stitched at the rear of the cap in some cases the bands were cut short(not regulation)rather than hang down at the back.Here some pics of my 'just post war'cap,with original insignia if it helps.John.

I'm trying to learn it myself but you cant have much of a display if you are flagging to no-one?
