german ww1 ammo belts

a bit of advice where german ww1 ammo belts for their machine guns on metal belts and if so were they the same as used in mg34 and were ammo tins the same i would appreciate photos and advice many thanks

WW1 German Ammo belts were cloth, like the Vickers and Russian Maxim type. Usually 250 rounds cloth with brass or steel hardware attached. Although there was a 100 round belt for the Assault drum. Ammo boxes were almost identical to the early steel WW2 style with one latch.
