Best way to clean an old rucksack!?

I got a dated ww2 lufty rucksack but it could do with a clean!ideas chaps??

Whats on it ? Mud and such can be brushed off oil stains best to leave them

Soak it with a few bottles of Krombacher, Mike - that stuff will remove anything! :wink: Anyway, unless its pink paint or something like that, leave it alone, adds to your already famous 'vet' look.

But if you insist, try Vanish Power Foam, used on carpets and will remove most 'stains'. Try it on an 'out-of-sight' part first. Tesco sell it.

If you plan on using it, why not just wash it? If you're thinking of keeping it, as found, as part of your collection then leave it alone.

I was going to wash it in lukewarm water with clothes washing crystals and let it dry naturally and restore the leather! I just wanted to see if anyone had a better suss!
