Thanks for the link Johann, I've tried Ivo before but hasn't got the parts I'm looking for.
At least he didn't, wouldn't hurt to ask him again though!

Hi,

Just thought i would warn you, before someone else gets stung. Iam also after a set of rear leaver shocks for the rear of a kubelwagen and to my pleaseure a set came up on ebay. Looked good, i checked the guy out 98%, buying and selling since 1992 so all seemed well. I won the auction and paid imediatelly, he was very keen to get the money and from his emails he was either very fluent in english or he was british. His location on ebay was stated as spain. Anyway i paid the money via German ebay/ paypal and had some minor problems with him because he said he hadnt received the money, but german ebay have a new system where you pay ebay first so i supose they hold the money until you receive the item, anyway all sorted and i waited for a delivery and waited. sent the seller a message asking for the tracking details nothing several emails latter and about four weeks i started a claim. Thankfully i got the money back, but be carefull there are some untrustworthy ba....ards out there. Oh and just in case his email address was info@signalcorps.es
and his ebay user name is etinarcadia.

Tommy - I have been fortunate to obtain an origional front beam and complete hub assemblys all in good condition, once I have completed their refurb my early beetle set up will be available and will be ready to bolt straight on. PM me if you are interested.

Apologies for the late reply but thanks for all the links/help guys.

I'm almost there with regards the front axle assembly, the last major parts being the upper kingpins and tie rods, so if anyone knows of any or an alternative that would fit (ie Bus, year?) could you please let me know. I have also picked up a left hand lever arm shock so just need the right hand one now.
Could also use a spare 16" wheel if anyone has one!!!!

Body is moving along nicely though and should soon see the light of day.

Regards
