StuG III on a Ship to Southampton
A StuG III Ausf.G left the Port of Galveston, TX yesterday in route to Southampton. Lots of rumors and a some controversy brewing about this vehicle - It could be Caen veteran, maybe 9SS or 10SS vehicle, private owner but likely still on the books as Canadian government property, but it sounds like the Canadians are not trying to reclaim it...

In the past this forum has given me lots of leads for my blog on film prop and replica AFVs, so I wanted to tip the hat

Bunch of nosey bastards who ought to mind their own business. A vehicle shipped openly like that is above board - and it's only the business of the owner and recipient where it is going and why.
In the event it does turn up at a show in the UK I bet there's no shortage of Klingons wanting to scramble all over it........

Re: StuG III on a Ship to Southampton
I can understand an MV owner's desire for privacy, but It would still be interesting to find out if this vehicle is Fgst. 96 158 (tactical number 826). That StuG was captured by the British in Normandy and evaluated in the UK. Not many AFVs have that significant of a wartime paper trial. - so I guess there could be potentially even more Klingons!

Ok, I'm going to come clean... It's being delivered to me.
Lottery came up and I couldn't resist - it's with Jon Philips now for conversion and will be running about at Beltring as a FV432!!!
