California DRK unit

Post by holz21pz »

I know this site mostly made up of the European community, but I thought I'd post that the new DRK unit of Aachen Stadt I has a website. My wife is a member and I ended up volunteering to do the website. Nothing real fancy but it's a start. We are always looking for original photos to add to the photo gallery if anyone has some they are willing to "donate".

The unit unoffically debuted last year with their new hospital tent and was voted in as primary impression unit this past summer. As far as I know, there is not another full fledged DRK unit in the US. As time goes on I'm hoping to get lots of photos and reference material for the site as far as DRK uniforms (both men and women), equipment, paperwork etc.

Aachen Stadt I is also open to men wishing to do a DRK impression, but uniforming is particularly difficult and I've been looking for options for male DRK items. If you have any info or ideas, please let us know.

Best of luck! It's fantastic seeing more women's units forming. Compliments on the website as well.
