Post War Rudolf Souval

Post by Brigardefuhrer »

The firm of Rudolf Souval of Vienna made medals and badges during the Third Reich, but after the war continued to produce their products.Austria did not have restrictions imposed on it like Germany(they were regarded as an occupied country),the company ceased trading I believe in the mid seventies.Although these copys are well known, they sometimes crop up on some dealer sites as original, the irony is that even as copys they have become a collectors item. This example badge I got in a swop for another Souval badge about thirty years ago.
