Medal identification

Post by Ropes »

Need help identifying a medal please guys. A fella who comes in my pub showed me a few of the things in his collection and said he couldnt identify one spefic iron cross that he had and could I help. Im not convinced its a genuine medal but i thought Id check here. He had a picture of it on his phone and with the wonders on Ms paint I have recreated it for you. He said its slightly concave and its done in black enamel. it has a screw back and is stamped RZM wolfschanze.

Yes thats it. He stated that its marked between the wars in that video. Could it be somthing todo with the freikorps after WW1. I know one of the freikorps units painted skull and cross bones on there helmets.

It is a Polish made modern fantasy design, the makers name on the reverse appears on a whole range of fantasy badges, the maker did not exist during WW2.

 Very, very bad.

On that note, it is a shame that he has been ripped off by so many people. This is why people should buy the books, read them, do research all the time, ask questions.

Cheers, Lez.
