Personally I prefer the original TV Series from 60`s (this movie was sequel of that series):

Although uniforms were not perfect, the series had great plot and action with best Polish actors of that time. My favourite are episodes from the end of the series: "Without instructions", "Operation "Oak's leaf"" and "The Siege" which takes place in beleaguered Kolberg (called Tolberg in that episode).
