I have successfully connected my Field Telephone system to my land line - it works beautifully :D It's quite surreal calling my iPhone from it!

Wow man,very cool..it's amazing that 80 years later that phone still works,and will probably out last all iPhones now in service lol. That's quite a setup 8)

sorry to put the moccas on what you have done, but all exchanges are digital and dial phones are not, can take out exchange electronics, so you might get a knock on your door.

Not at all dear boy ever heard of a Pulse to Tone converter? (http://www.dialgizmo.com/) PSTN networks in Europe still accept pulse dialling for compability with older more backward mainly eastern european systems :wink:

CLASS! I take it all the plugs stay in situ etc? Do you have to change plug locations for overseas calls?

No changes necessary - it all works as the Krauts intended it to :D mind you I keep recieving nusiance calls from a Berchtesgaden number telling me I may have been wrongly sold invasion insurance :oops:

Can you hook up german field telephones in this way, the ones with the wind up ringer generator or is that impossible? Lovely kit by the way love the way you have wired in the cigarettes into the kit!
