stories of german field priests wanted for film

Post by tino struckmann »

greetings I need a little help

I am researching stories of German priests during the war and especially field priests with the German troops in Russia or France.
we are looking for inspiration for our next film, but I have a hard time finding any good stories but I know they are out there

anybody out there got some?

Have a read of;
"German Military Chaplains in WW2" by Mark Hayden, published by Schiffer!
lots of photo's and information which you might find helpful.

The author is a Clergyman, Historian, and Re-enactor, and eventhough his belt buckle doesn't say 'Gott mitt uns' he knows his stuff about the dark side!

hope this helps!

1n 1994, I met the priest that tends one of the German soldier graveyards in Hurtgen Forest. Talked with him for a while. He was captured at Stalingrad...
