The Forgotten Soldier Movie...Interesting...

It might have been posted here before but I thought it was a great effort to make a movie about this Great book by Guy Sajer...

I read that book years ago, it was a about a Franco/German who joins the Gross Deutchland Div,
i hope this film does the book justice, from what i can see from the footage, maybe not lol :lol:

Hey, atleast they've put plenty of effort in it!

And the guys look like they've been there, which you can't say for most of the re-enactors in their shiny, new and unused uniforms and equipment! They seem to be quite young too, so they've got plenty of time to improve in what they do.

Paul Verhoeven is currently also making a movie about The Forgotten Soldier.....so that will suck bigtime... :cry:

And the guys look like they've been there, which you can't say for most of the re-enactors in their shiny, new and unused uniforms and equipment!

No offence to anyone, but if you take a look at alot of re-enactment photos, alot of the guys sport brand new and shiny equipment! Not necessarily the people on this forum, but elsewhere.

As far as authenticity goes one big thing these guys have going for them is their extreme youth. Most Hollywood movies feature actors that are far too old for their roles. :lol: bob

Looks like a potentially good film- Ive definitely seen a lot worse. Plus I like my shiny new precious things :) It makes me feel special. Just like I was told when I was a child ;)

Must be the asphalt soldier in me :lol:
