Can anyone point me in the direction of where I can get a set of Stg44 pouches.

ZIb-militaria makes a nice aged pair. I got the aged MP40 pouches and I'm very happy with them.

Just dont buy the version with the leather flaps.
Thats the post war version, Czech or Yugo, doesnt matter really, just wrong.
