Hello,
I am new to the forum and hoping I'm posting this in the right place.
For sale is an Adler Standard Model 1938. I have had it for about 10 years or so. Definitely not a field model - it weighs a ton. It looks complete except for a couple of knobs on the back that attach to rods that, when pulled, enable the carriage to be removed. You can still remove the carriage by pulling on the rods.
There's a nice article on this model at http://davistypewriters.blogspot.com/20 ... ndard.html.
Attached is a picture. The serial number is 602871, which, according to an online typewriter database, puts the manufacturing year at 1939.
If you are interested, please let me know.
Thanks,
Eric
