Children's splinter Parka plus Y-straps, and gaiters

If you take your children to reenactments and they love uniforms then this is a rare, if not unique opportunity for them to dress like the 'big boys.' This is a superb modern hand-made Splinter pattern, fully reversible (to winter white) WWII German Army Parka with many original style features. It is complete with hood and adjustable cuffs, there is even a facility for a drawstring around the waist and internal pockets on both sides plus hand-sewn reinforced button holes. It is not lined as per originals as is only for dressing-up or tagging along at a reenactment perhaps. It was made for a child who loves military subjects and appreciated the cut, pattern and detail of an original even at the young age of 6. This should fit a 6/7 year old, the sizes being; neck 19", chest 34", under arm to wrist 15" and under arm to skirt bottom 14.5".

It has just been used around the house and garden but not at all roughly, so very minor marks. Has plastic buttons on the splinter side but white painted stippled German buttons on the white side. It also comes with a hand-made pair of reduced size great look-alike Y-straps in correct black leather, D-rings, swinging buckles to front and non-adjustable rear strap with a sprung buckle which would fit to a D-ring belt slider. There are two sliders to the front and there are five adjusting holes to the front straps, finished with a t-bar end as per the originals. From rear to front, i.e. rear waist to front waist is between 20"-24", .

These come with a shortened West German (Bundeswehr) belt (obviously a quality item itself) with a BW buckle the belt length is between 24"-31" Also included is a hand-made exact repro children's size pair of canvas field-grey gaiters with leather straps, dull metal buckles and reinforced interiors and I'll throw in an East German waterbottle for free. The gaiters are 11"-12" round the ankles. You have everything here for the 'little soldier,' to be the envy of his/her mates. There are no controversial symbols or insignia.
