Hi Guys,

Am looking for your advice re: parkas.

I'm looking for the opinions of ppl who have bought them off the various retailers and which you reckon is the best, before I spend the old hard earned greenbacks as it were.

Ideally, I would like it to have a blanket lining like the originals.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Ray.

Richard U or militaria-net,( correct lining and weight, and superb workmanship), or zeugmeisterei, (ZM ones) the dearer ones are excellent! Failing that 1944 militaria is getting some SMW ones in soon which are superb with correct blanket lining, or if you can get them, Lost battalions reversables are damn good! If you are just posing around and not in the trench and doing all nighters as it were, the Chinese copies will do!

Basicly it comes down to two different manufacturers, SMW (as retailed by RU, mil-net?, lomax, 1944, etc.) and ZM as retailed by ZM.
Both are very good quality reproductions. Personally I like SMWs more, but I guess thats just personal taste.

Spearheads are currently not up to standard. They have promised a new version soon. Time will tell.

Do you know whether they are getting sumph parkas? as The ones SMW do are perfect.
