What do you think of the new Barry Lyndon Flieger. Apparently like his smocks , he made some improvements

Unlike some of his other cloth items...The button holes are not correct. These appear to be the "tear drop" type and not the correct "key hole" with bar tack.
The little things make all the difference.

lyndons fliegers are really poor,

On that picture, the colour of the flieger isnt true to what it is showing, the colour is alot lighter when u get it through the post ( i already own one). The construction is really rough like its been cut with a jagged knife, the wool is really thin. Overall, its pants, better off with a Sturm one or from some other custom house.

i dont know anyone with a zug flieger mick , nor hear any comments on them previously,

from the pictures i have seen, they dont look like anything special compared to the rest of the market tbh mick, If i was going to spend alot of money on a flieger, i would think about Gmax

I ordered one this past winter for use in the spring events, and it compares favorably with originals I have owned and handled. The wool is high quality material that is tightly woven -- can't see sunlight through it, and all the details are there for stitching and components. The only weaknesses at all would be 1) The buttons, which I plan to replace with better ones & 2) There is too much ease at the back of the arms where the elbow seams join to the body at the back -- this was easily rectified by my local seamstress by taking the arms loose and taking the seams in so the material would lie flat. This seems to be common in most reproductions nowadays -- just the way that modern garments are made versus the originals which are tailored to fit tightly on an elisted man who is 'military fit', as they say...(plus, why would you want to lift your hands up over your head anyway? )

It's useful for surrendering.
The Germans got quite good at that.

Panther-Store Fliegerbluse (more blueish then grey) vs Sturm Fliegerbluse (more (dark) grey and a bit coarser wool)

Indeed as bhoy said, the sleeves of the Panther-Store Fliegerbluse are 3cm to wide and the buttons could be better. Another absence are the little buttons in the collar for the Kragenbinde. The quality of the wool is perfect and fine, luckely not as coarse as Pirschen does!

More details later! :D

Thanks for watching!:)
