sad news

Post by manstein »

it is with deep saddness that i have to inform you of the passing of our group member bill donkin who passed away this morning at home after a long and painfull battle with cancer.

he died at 0415hrs in bed with his wife lin and his daughter with him in no pain.

he was going to be kitted out this year as a priest to the feldmarschall and had only got the last of his items on friday last week.

he was a member of the group for the past 5 years and was the first to jump in and get his hands dirty when any thing needed doing even when he was told one and a half years ago he only had 6 months to live.

his wife lin will carry on in the group in memory of him

Sad news indeed Scott - My sincere condolences to his family - I have a cousin who at this time is living with the same disease - He has been diagnosed as terminal and is receiving palliative care. It's a vile, vicious disease that claims too many of us and what really bakes my clam is that while billions is squandered by a political elite in this country and more billions wasted on an illegal war, effective treatment, a cure or even the eradication of this plague seems to be totally unimportant to those charged with our well being.
