Not got as far as show planing yet and it would depend on if and how long it would take to get a group going but the Victory show would seem like a good idea in a central location for one, although we would like to do events before September ideally!
Where are you located?

I'm in the south but reenact with Yorkshire/ Lancashire folk. Victory we will be doing a machine gun section again (4 Vickers) with two live firers for the battlefield. However I'm happy to change into Finnish kit for the evening!

Myself and my 18 yr old son would really like to do this, but we are not into promenading (no offence to anyone not our thing) so we really need to join or even start a UK group before we begin spending some cash.

Anyone else interested?
I'm still interested - just been off-site as I was spending time looking for more kit for the impression.
The BIG issue at present is distance, as most shows are quite a few hours drive from me...the distance was one of the big reasons that made me stop trading at the UK shows & start attending shows in Sweden (choose a 10-12 hour drive, or a 2-hr flight - with the latter being the cheaper option!).
I hope to move house IF I can find work elsewhere in the UK (England or Wales) as the predicted 2015 law changes in Scotland will start to kill off a lot of liberties (it's already illegal here to use a Moisin Nagant carbine in "public" - as MoD & private ranges are deemed as "public spaces" - if the carbine has a folding bayonet installed. I know of a few shooters that OWN the carbine & ammunition, but cannot take it out to shoot in competitions!)

Sourced a few more items & may have a lead on a couple of nice M28/30's & an M91, plus I now have a couple of possible good contacts in Finland among bric-a-brac dealers; as they turn up some original kit but at prices below what militaria dealers charge. Found a UK dealer doing unissued Swedish M26 helmets for about £20, so have picked one up to add to the original M1916 & repro. M40 that I'm busy working on/repairing.
Just spent €275 or thereabouts on some very detailed reference books from one such trader.

Somewhat surprised to be told that WW2 Finnish memorabilia has an appeal to the general population in Finland, not just specialist collectors - as the war was such a pivotal event for the Finns in their country's young history...only 20 years old THEN, not even reached their Centenary now.

I think the "established" Finnish group in the UK has two members, plus myself once I get the kit together - and they're based in N. Yorks area but attend shows down South
