The forgotten "Reichsdeutsche" W-SS soldiers

Often forgotten when researching/reenacting foreign units is the fact that a large number of
German nationals served with these units, not just officers, but soldiers with special skills etc.
These Germans who acted as staff, translaters or some other specialist role, would often be
captured with the foreign nationals. These Germans within the unit would often share the same
fate as the Balkan or Russian renegades and be put to death..... here we see a German radio
operator with Handschar in the Balkans.
