The forgotten "Reichsdeutsche" W-SS soldiers

Often forgotten when researching/reenacting foreign units is the fact that a large number of
German nationals served with these units, not just officers, but soldiers with special skills etc.
These Germans who acted as staff, translaters or some other specialist role, would often be
captured with the foreign nationals. These Germans within the unit would often share the same
fate as the Balkan or Russian renegades and be put to death..... here we see a German radio
operator with Handschar in the Balkans.

Yes its the Albanian type fez there was a small amount of albanians (300) in Handschar before v they were transfered to form Skanderbeg

40 % of the SS Troops who fought during the Battles at Narva in 1944 were Reichs Deutsche from the Banat and Siebenburgen areas of Rumania .
