The different repro-uniforms offered in Europe

Post by DerTigerfahrer »

Hello everybody,

I want to get myself an early war uniform (1939, early 1940) and have allready done hours of research, but have to admit that I am still quite confused, because many european traders seem to sell only Sturm-uniforms or uniforms from Hiki, but label them differently.
I know of two exceptions from this, one is pantherstore, but sadly he doesnt produce a M36 tunic. The other one is Zib-Militaria with his own M36 but at the moment he doesnt offer a tunic in my size.

So I wondered if anyone of you knows any alternatives here in europe? Or do I only have the choice between relabled Hikis and Sturm-uniforms, if I want to get myself an M36 and dont want do import something from the US?

Greetings to all of you!

Howdy, apart from the dealers mentioned you have
Barry Lyndon on ebay, his company is based in
Singapore I believe, the stuff he sells is mainly Asian
made uniforms, the camo bone sack he does is quite
good but there is a hefty postage.

There is also "Lomax Antik" on ebay too, this guy
is based in Germany and has a selection of US SMW
gear along with standard Sturm stuff.

We have a few dealers in the UK but they mainly sell the
Sturm type uniform, although SOF have different varieties
of manufacturing and also stock some SMW gear so try there ? hope this helps.

Thanks for your replys!

After going through all european shops I could find, I would say it seems as if the most dealers in Europe just offer relabled Sturm or Hiki tunics. In that case I wonder which one of the two would be the better choice. The Hiki tunics are in europe more expensive than the Sturm tunics, but in the US Hiki tunics seem to be some of the cheapest stuff there is, which makes me a little bit suspicious.
