I would have thought it would be stamped up for one of the training units associated with the 1st ss

Don't know their regs but, ϟϟ-Pz.Gren.A.u.E.Btl.1 was an original Ausbildung und Ersatz (A.u.E.) Battalion stationed in Berlin and was one of the main sources of new recruits for the LAH.
