Hillman

Post by Tychsen »

One of two positions close to the village of Colleville- Montgomery ( known today as "Hillman" and Moris").
Hillman is not partly restored as a museum and a very fine one it is.
The fighting to secure the positions played a major part in slowing the advance on Caen, well worth a visit if you are in that area.

Been there too this year, sadly of the Farby 101st Airborne re-enactment group that camped on top..

There are still some names and dates here and there scratched in the concrete.
CDB taking it way too serious!
